Baralgifen is formulated to fight with pain and exerts analgesic and antispasmodic action. It is used to treat pain in patients with colic of the urinary, biliary, and gastro-intestinal tract, spasm in the female genital system. It is also prescribed for short-term treatment of arthralgia, myalgia, neuralgia, sciatica.
Use Baralgifen exactly as it was prescribed by your doctor. Avoid drinking alcohol and don't take the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended by your doctor.
Do not drink alcohol during treatment with Baralgifen. If you take this medication longer than a week your peripheral blood and functional state of the liver should be controlled by a doctor. Baralgifen should not be used for relief of acute pain in the abdomen (first reason of this pain must be determined). Don’t take Baralgifen if you breastfeed . Patients with atopic asthma and hay fever have an increased risk of allergic reactions if they take this medicine. Avoid driving a vehicle or potentially hazardous activities that require the speed of physical and mental reactions if you take Baralgifen.
Do not take Baralgifen if you have hypersensitivity to its components, problems with bone marrow, severe hepatic or renal failure, deficiency of glucose-6- phosphate dehydrogenase, tachyarrhythmias, severe angina, narrow-angle glaucoma , prostatic hyperplasia ( with clinical manifestations ) , ileus , megacolon , collapse. Baralgifen is not prescribed to patients with pregnancy (especially in I trimester and in the last 6 weeks), or those who breast feed. It is not administered to little children with body weight less than 5 kg. Be careful taking Baralgifen if you suffer with renal or hepatic failure, bronchial asthma, hypotension, hypersensitive to other NSAIDs.
Possible side effect
Side effects can include allergic reactions of the skin and mucosa of the eyes, nose and throat, renal failure, oliguria, anuria, proteinuria, interstitial nephritis, urine staining in red, decreased blood pressure, unmotivated rise in temperature, chills, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, stomatitis, and the development of vaginitis or proctitis), decreased sweating, paresis of accommodation, tachycardia, difficulty urinating.
Before to take this medication tell your doctor if you are treated with tricyclic antidepressants, chlorpromazine, phenothiazine, tricyclic antidepressants, oral contraceptives, phenylbutazone, barbiturates, sedative drugs or tranquilizers, penicillin, indirect anticoagulants, corticosteroids, indomethacin, codeine, H2-blockers of histamine receptors, propranolol.
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time of the next intake just skip it and go back to your schedule.
Overdose can cause vomiting, decreased blood pressure, drowsiness, confusion, nausea, epigastric pain, abnormal liver function and kidney failure, seizures. If you have any of these symptoms seek for medical help.
Store the medicine at room temperature between 59-77 F (15-25 C) away from light and moisture, kids and pets.
